I captured this photo during my recent
visit to Ranthabore, Rajasthan, India. Late afternoon, she
was sitting near a pool and was about to sleep. Suddenly a
group of Sambars (deers) came to the waterhole and she just
looked up and the deers ran for their life. Our jeeps were
standing some 20 mtrs from her. Then she looked at us for a
brief moment of 3-4 seconds and turned her head to the other
side and went to sleep. I just loved the fire in her eyes &
the beautiful whiskers
