Tiger Photo Gallery -
select photographer in right column
JV urges all photographers,
professional or amateur, to make their tiger pictures
speak, to share their tiger experiences through pictures! A majestic species is slipping to extinction. He
has formed Tiger Photo Gallery and he is
inviting all photographers who have visited Tiger Canyons or any
Tiger Sanctuary, for that matter, to submit 6 of your most interesting pictures to
Tiger Photo Gallery. Tell us what
effect the tiger had on you, the influence, the inspiration. Give us
ideas on how, together, we can use our pictures to create pressure.
We have the ability to communicate globally. We have websites, Facebook, YouTube,
Twitter, cell phones and email at our disposal, let's
use them! Remember to caption your pictures and send
them to [email protected]

I had heard about JV's mission on the internet before I went on
safari to southern Africa this past summer. After photographing
wildlife at Kruger, in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, I felt I could
never go to a zoo again. But I'd never photographed tigers so took a
trip to the Carolina Tiger Rescue this past weekend which is close
to my home in North Carokina, USA. Carolina Tiger Rescue, formerly
the Carnivore Preservation Trust, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife
sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in
captivity and in the wild. It was such a moving experience, I
decided to do research on tigers and found this site. I am an
amateur photographer who is in her senior years but who now needs to
show everyone the beauty of tigers and to help save them. Here are 6
of my favorites.
